I spotted these amazing shell chargers at Pottery Barn a month ago. They would match my china so well (Lenox British Colonial). I debated buying the goods to make my own, but decided I should save up and purchase the real deal later this summer. Well, I went to the Pottery Barn website to discover they're sold out....already!! My fingers are crossed these oh-so-tropical chargers will become available again, otherwise, I'll be attempting a new craft project. Any tips on how I should make these myself'?
Those are so stinking cute!! I love them. Perhaps if you started with a round mat like this one from Crate and Barrel:

and used hot glue or Gorilla Glue to attach the shells in layers...
I'm inspired -- I might join you in making them for myself. :)
